Fire Amid the Storm

'The Fire Amidst the Storm' represents the chaotic storm experienced by all front-line workers during this cataclysmic pandemic. Yet, each day we are all able to endure and keep serving when we find the warmth, compassion, the fire within us, the very reason we answered this special calling to serve and help all patients always. The artist states, “Though the condition is bleak, there is the fire within to keep us warm.”

The artist, Mona Lisa Macapagal is a pediatric surgery nurse at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, TX.
