It has been more than one year since the COVID- 19 pandemic started. I am not sure if there is a new normal anymore or if this is just our “normal.” It is encouraging that vaccinations are underway and we are getting closer every day to having children vaccinated. Yes, this past year has certainly been a challenging experience but as we all continue to work together, and focus on maintaining our own wellness, we will get through this.

This edition will give a few highlights from the last meeting with a focus on well-being. As we continue battling this pandemic, we move forward in the pursuit of excellence in patient care and education. We also want to thank all of our outstanding SPA members for their tireless dedication during these challenging times.

Finally, I dedicate this edition to my beautiful mother who recently passed away, but was a constant source of inspiration to me and so many others. While facing each day we must remember to take one day at a time; we will get there.
