Date Posted:2019-10-10
Job Location:Lexington, KY
Job Requirements:MD or equivalent
Unrestricted Kentucky medical license
Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
Fellowship training preferred
Job Description:The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Kentucky/Kentucky Childrens Hospital is growing. We are seeking board certified pediatric anesthesiologists to join our collegial group as we grow to meet the needs of the children of the Commonwealth. KCH, a childrens hospital within a major academic medical center, is state of the art. Every pediatric surgical subspecialty is represented, there is a new neonatal intensive care unit and a recently opened pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. The acuity level of our patients is high. Kentucky Childrens Hospital is a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center.

The Department of Anesthesiology and the Division are well respected within the Medical Center and UK Healthcare has consistently been recognized as the number one hospital in Kentucky by US News and World Report. The Department is financially supported by the enterprise. Salary and benefits are well above average and are commensurate with training and experience.

The residency program is nationally recognized for providing quality education, there is a burgeoning research program, the Division is a member of the Pediatric Regional Anesthesia Network, and career mentoring is an established program.
