The curriculum includes clinical rotations in Pediatric Chronic Pain, Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain, Palliative Care, Adult Chronic Pain, Pediatric Neurology & Psychology, and Pediatric Rheumatology. Additional experience is provided in aromatherapy, acupuncture, guided-imagery, and clinical hypnosis. The CPS at NCH offers the full range of acute and chronic pain services. The acute pain service has an average daily census of 30 patients, while our regional anesthesia program provides 250 pediatric peripheral and neuraxial blocks per month, as well as a home infusion program. The Chronic Pain Center incorporates a multi-disciplinary approach with a team of physicians, advance practice nurses, psychologists, physical therapists, social workers and complimentary medicine experts, in two pain clinic settings.
