Job Description:As a pediatric anesthesiologist at Methodist Childrens Hospital, you will have the opportunity to maintain and grow your skillset managing the complex NICU index cases you encountered in fellowship along with general cases. Opportunities to grow into pediatric cardiac will be available, if interested, as well. This is an all-physician model delivering case coverage for 100% pediatric service lines at a comprehensive childrens hospital. Methodist Childrens Hospital is a 221 bed facility with seven operating suites that are equipped for a variety of pediatric surgeries including general, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, and GI. With 94 dedicated NICU beds, Methodist Childrens Hospital is home to San Antonio's largest NICU and was the first in San Antonio to receive Level IV NICU certification. Call is balanced at 4 weekday calls/month and one weekend/month. Call is from home and has low utilization after 7p. Calls picked up beyond contracted numbers garner additional compensation.
