Job Description:The University of Michigan Department of Anesthesiology seeks a nationally recognized and visionary leader to become the next Associate Chair of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Medical Director for Anesthesiology at Mott Children s Hospital. The Department has a large interdisciplinary team of 920 employees (>200 faculty, 135 residents and fellows, and >250 CRNAs) currently ranked #2 for NIH funding and #6 in the nation for residency training. The Department is situated in a growing integrated academic medical center that is expanding while maintaining excellence in care. The division of pediatric anesthesiology serves 20 operating rooms and multiple offsite locations providing care to > 21,000 children per year. The dedicated pediatric team of 40 faculty physicians and 71 CRNAs support training opportunities to the core residency and a large thriving fellowship. The Associate Chair will build upon partnerships within the Department of Anesthesiology, the C S Mott Children s Hospital, the Medical School of the University of Michigan, and the academic community.
