This is a Fellowship PostionJob Title:Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia FellowshipDate Posted:2026-03-30Job Location:Houston, TXJob Requirements:Our Texas Medical Board approved program offers a 12-month fellowship, both fellows completing a pediatric anesthesiology or adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowships are welcome! We can consider a serious candidate with either ACGME or international anesthesiology residency training without prior fellowship training.Job Description:The fellow will care for the congenital cardiac patient population during cardiac surgeries including cardiopulmonary bypass, thoracic, non-cardiac surgery, catheterization suite procedures, imaging, and cases in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU). The rotation site, Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, performs over 290 bypass cases annually, with 350 catheterization lab cases, 600 imaging cases, and non-cardiac cases. Fellows will gain additional training in transesophageal echocardiography, and insertion of invasive monitoring lines such as arterial and central venous cannulation with advanced ultrasound guidance.
