The Heart Center at LPCH Stanford handles over 600 surgical cases annually including 20-25 heart transplants, 15+ VADs; and 7 lung transplants in 2025. We care for the entire spectrum of CHD and are an international referral center for TOF/PA/Mapcas for PA reconstruction; heart failure; pulmonary hypertension; double switch; ACHD; IMPACT procedures; and Williams and Alagille syndromes. Fellows get a broad and deep experience in all aspects of the field working with a team of 16 MD pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists and 14 pediatric CT surgeons. At Stanford, the anesthesia team places all lines, and trainees work one on one with faculty. We also have a team of NPs who handle case coordination and preops so the anes team can focus on clinical care. Dedicated time in CVICU, electives of your choosing, and vacation/conference.
