Job Description:The Department of Anesthesiology at Albany Medical College is seeking fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join a team of six pediatric anesthesia faculty. This opportunity offers a collaborative, academically focused environment within the Capital Region’s only academic medical center.

Pediatric anesthesiologists provide perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties, including general pediatric surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and select neonatal and complex congenital cases.

The practice includes healthy children and medically complex patients, with opportunities to provide anesthesia care outside the main operating room, including MRI, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization.

Responsibilities
• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Teach residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists
• Participate in or initiate clinical research
• Collaborate with perioperative team members
• Mentor trainees and junior faculty

Assistant Professor to Professor range: $391,000–$448,000.

Compensation includes ~$25,000 for pediatric pager call with additional pay if called in, a $50,000 annual retention bonus, a $45,000 sign-on bonus, $7,500 relocation assistance, and overtime opportunities.
