Our longstanding relationship with Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and Eastern Virginia Medical School offers stability and opportunities for education, leadership, and professional growth.Job Description:Children's Specialty Group (CSG) at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters (CHKD) is a private, physician-owned, multispecialty pediatric practice serving CHKD since 1998. The group embraces work-life balance and emphasizes support of our physicians in their varying interests and professional pursuits. CHKD is a 266-bed freestanding children's hospital and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center located in Norfolk, Virginia, including a 25-bed PICU and a 60-bed NICU. Our group covers the main hospital at CHKD and two ambulatory surgery centers in the Hampton Roads area, affording a varied case mix from routine healthy to higher acuity. Our surgical case volume is approximately 14,000 cases annually. Our physicians participate in a mix of doing own cases (~80%) and supervising residents and CRNAs (~20%). Call is covered utilizing a well-liked night float system with two anesthesiologists in house.
