Job Title:Congenital Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Job Requirements:The Cardiac Center at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is seeking a fifth pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and skill to execute best practices, and the desire to collaborate within a multi-specialty, multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements:
1. ACGME accredited Anesthesiology residency
2. ABA Subspecialty Certification in Pediatric or Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
3. Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology fellowship or experience

Job Attributes:
1. All Cardiac anesthesia cases are limited to patients with congenital or acquired heart disease, throughout the lifespan of neonates to adults.
2. MD only practice supported by experienced pediatric cardiac CRNA
3. Provide anesthesia for CT surgery, VAD, Transplant, Cardiac Catheterization, EP, MRI, Non-cardiac surgery, Bedside procedures in CICU
4. Case volume 250 CT surgeries and 400 Cardiac Catheterizations per year
5. Outstanding support staff- Perfusion, CTOR, Cath Lab, CICU, Anesthesia Assistants
6. Efficient logistics- Cardiac OR, Cath Lab, CICU, Cardiac PACU, Cardiac Inpatient Unit in proximity
7. Cardiac Center organization- integrated practice model uniting Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Critical Care physicians, CT surgeons, Cardiologists and supporting teams.
8. Call responsibility from home, approximately 1 in 4 nights and weekends
9. Very reasonable work hours / competitive compensation
10. Excellent surgical outcomes reflected in STS public reporting
11. Academic appointment at Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine
