UF Health Shands Childrens Hospital has been ranked among the top 10 pediatric cardiology and heart surgery programs in the United States and the highest-ranked in Florida for the fifth consecutive year. Our pediatric cardiac anesthesia team provides perioperative care for more than 300 surgical cases and over 500 cardiac catheterization and EP cases annually. We provide care for a wide variety of the most complex cases including VADs and cardiac transplantation. UF Congenital Heart Center is the leading pediatric heart transplant center in Florida. We staff all cardiac surgery, catheterization and EP procedures, and consult on all patients with heart disease requiring noncardiac surgery.
