Job Description:Medical Director of the Cardiac Operative and Imaging Complex (COIC), Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)

At the heart of the Cardiac Operative and Imaging Complex is a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and patient/family-centered care. We are seeking a Medical Director to lead with compassion, accountability, and integrity, ensuring seamless collaboration across the Cardiac Operating Suites, Catheterization Labs, MRI, the Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit, and Cardiac Intake Center.

As a key member of the Cardiac Center Clinical Operations Executive Leadership Team, the COIC Medical Director will drive clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This role requires a leader who listens, reflects, and owns their impact, fostering an environment of trust and teamwork among operational leaders, physicians, APPs, nurses, and other healthcare team members.

- Guide quality care, efficiency, and patient-family experience across all COIC areas.
- Lead strategic initiatives, ensuring the COIC aligns with CHOP's mission and vision.
- Collaborate with Medical Directors, Division Chiefs, and CRNA/nursing leaders to optimize care delivery.
- Mentor and support physician leaders, strengthening the future of pediatric cardiac care.
- Promote diversity of thought, creating a space where many minds contribute to one mission.
- Drive operational excellence, balancing financial stewardship with the highest standards of care.
