Graduating fellows are also encouraged to apply.Job Description:We are seeking a pain physician and pediatric anesthesiologist to join our team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt (MCJCHV), a freestanding, nationally ranked academic hospital associated with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Faculty will join the Multidisciplinary Assessment of Pain (MAP) Clinic, which provides comprehensive interdisciplinary care for pediatric patients with chronic pain, with an emphasis on functional restoration. The team currently includes one pain physician, two pain psychologists, one occupational therapist, and one physical therapist. The outpatient clinic also includes a physician-only clinic, which offers additional services including interventional pain procedures and medication management. Faculty will also join a team of approximately 25 pediatric anesthesiologists, working in a care team model with exceptional fellows, residents, CRNAs, and NPs to provide ~23,000 anesthetics annually. Additionally, candidates may also join the Pediatric Acute Pain Service (APS), which provides regional anesthesia to operative patients as well as pain consultations for inpatients.
