Full and part time (less than 1 FTE) positions are available.Job Description:Nationwide Children's Hospital is the one of the largest children's hospitals in the United States. The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine provided anesthetic care for more than 43,000 patients last year, covering 45 anesthetizing locations a day with a faculty of 45 fellowship trained pediatric anesthesiologists and 50 CRNAs. The department serves as the training site for students from several CRNA programs including Ohio University, Ohio State University, VCU, VDU, Wake Forest, Duke University, and University of Akron. The attending anesthesiologists and CRNAs work in a collegial, cooperative environment providing anesthetic care for all types of surgical procedures including critically ill neonates, surgery for congenital heart disease, major orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures, trauma, and transplant surgery. There is an active practice of anesthesia for procedures outside of the operating room including radiologic imaging and outpatient anesthesia. The CRNAs are not only involved in the active care of patients, but also participate in the educational, teaching, quality improvement, and research endeavors of the department.
